Taylor made 13/8 favourite for Reading success

Most of the big names are out in force this weekend

Phil Taylor is made the 13/8 favourite by Sportingbet to take his Premier League form to the floor and win Saturday’s Pro Tour event in Reading.

The Power has been unstoppable on Thursday evenings since drawing his opening Premier League match with Adrian Lewis, and will now look to take that form to the floor circuit as he makes his first competitive appearance of the season away from the cameras. Sportingbet offer odds of 13/8 on him winning each of Saturday and Sunday’s tournaments, with the double paying at tasty odds of just under 6/1.

Most of the big names are out in force this weekend with Gary Anderson, Adrian Lewis, Raymond van Barneveld and Simon Whitlock all in action. The Scotsman is priced at 10/1, with Jackpot, Barney and The Wizard each available at 16/1.

Wes Newton won a UK Open qualifier in Crawley early last month, showing that he has carried his form from last season into this campaign; The Warrior is quoted at 14/1 for each of this weekend’s tournaments.

Justin Pipe also picked up where he left off last season by winning the first Players Championship event of the season in Benidorm at the end of January, Sportingbet go 16/1 about The Force adding to his numerous floor successes in either of this weekend’s tournaments.
