Colin Lloyd will look to retain his Canadian Masters Players Championship crown

Following a month’s hiatus darts is back at the end of August with the Canadian Players Championship on August 27 & 28 in London, Ontario.

Over 100 non-members from North America will join 48 players from the Professional Darts Players Association (PDPA) over the course of the weekend. On Saturday Jamie Caven will defend the Players Championship title that he won in 2010, and on Sunday Colin Lloyd will look to retain his Canadian Masters Players Championship crown.

Lloyd and Caven will be joined by other top-16 ranked players Simon Whitlock, Paul Nicholson and Wes Newton. Neither Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis, Gary Anderson, James Wade nor Raymond van Barneveld will be involved over the course of the weekend.

Entrants looking to break into the top 16 in the rankings ahead of the World Grand Prix include Ronnie Baxter, Colin Osborne, Steve Beaton, Co Stompe, John Part, Jelle Klaasen and Kevin Painter.

The double header in Canada will be followed by Players Championship events in Derby the following weekend.
