Caris & Heydon complete GSOD line-up

Bet365 price both Heydon and Caris at 250/1

Magnus Caris and Higel Heydon won through to next week’s Grand Slam of Darts by reaching the final of Friday’s qualifiers in Crawley, and complete the Grand Slam line-up.

Heydon beat Colin Lloyd in the quarterfinals then Ian White in the semi-final to book his place at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. On the other side of the draw Sweden’s Caris beat Andy Smith, Steve Brown and Dennis Priestley en route and admitted to having played some of his best ever darts.

“This means a huge amount for me and it's a massive moment in my career,” said Caris. “It's been a very hard night and I had to play beyond my normal level to win through, so I'm very pleased.”

Heydon, meanwhile, will make his first televised appearance since losing to Robert Thornton in the first round of the 2011 World Championships.

“I'm absolutely delighted,” said Heydon. “It's nice for me to get back on TV and it will be great to play in the Grand Slam of Darts.

“I had to really play well. I rode my luck at times, like when Colin Lloyd had darts to beat me, but it's fantastic to be through.
